The Celebrity Media Awards

The Celebrity Media Awards celebrates professional competence and innovation which practitioners of celebrity journalism have brought to bear on the profession in Nigeria, and to accords the media its pride of place.

Two editions of Celebrity Media Awards have been held at the Sheraton Lagos Hotel and Towers in 2004 and 2005. Both editions attracted top media, government functionaries and business executives as well as celebrities.

In our quest to render a total service to the media industry in Nigeria and widen the scope of our coverage of the industry, the Celebrity Media Awards (CMA) has been broadened to accomodate other sectors of the media such as Advertising, Public Relations, Printing and The Design industries.

Aside the competitive segment of the awards, the event will also witness the presentation of two honorary categories. They are:

1. The Lifetime Achievements Awards: For veterans of the Nigerian Media
2. The Babatunde Jose Distinguished Professional Medal: For practitioners who have excelled in their chosen careers.
